Catherine designs and hand-folds a range of nature inspired origami sculptures, jewellery and gifts.
Catherine only uses handmade, fair trade and eco-friendly paper in all her designs. Living in Norfolk, Catherine is inspired by big open skies, rolling landscapes and stunning coastlines. Each of her collections aims to include pieces reflecting the beauty of the sky, land and sea.
Working from home in her studio, which is surrounded by enchanting woodland, Catherine is never short of ideas to develop into practical and decorative pieces. She uses foraged stones and pieces of wood to create natural bases for her work. Sustainability is a crucial ethos for Catherine’s work.
Currently in development are two origami kits. From the first kit you will create modern geometric origami coasters to set in acrylic cases. The second kit will provide you with origami sheets illustrated by Catherine for you to colour and turn into stunning gift boxes. The kits will be launched at the British Craft Trade Fair in April 2016.
Catherine’s wedding collection includes a variety of decorations, button holes and quirky cake toppers. She also runs workshops for small groups to make your own origami wedding favours, place settings and decorations.
